The Custom Prescription Shoppe (CPS) first joined Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA- a company that provides classes on prescription compounding) in 1992. In the fall of 2000 we converted our traditional medical center pharmacy to a compounding only practice. We now specialize in customized medications for humans and pets. We presently are a staff of two pharmacists and two pharmacy technicians. We keep current in our field by attending classes at PCCA, ZRT Labs, and we participate in regular webinars on Bio-identical Hormones, Quality Control and PCAB Certification, Autism, Pain, and Veterinary. Our current goal is to be the only PCAB (Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board) certified pharmacy in Vermont by 2011. CPS is a member of the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists. We provide information both over the phone and in person to health providers who are interested in prescribing an individualized prescription for a patient. We also offer private consultations to patients on bio-identical hormones and pain management.
